Written for tonebase, "Landslög" is a composition by Icelandic guitarist and composer Gulli Björnsson, drawing inspiration from the landscapes of Iceland. "Landslag I" is the first piece in this series and reflects dark sand dunes with moss. This solo guitar composition focuses on developing left and right hand techniques while maximizing the resonance of the instrument, making it a valuable addition to the modern classical guitar repertoire.

Join Icelandic guitarist and composer Gulli Björnsson as he presents his composition Landslög, a set of eleven pieces for solo guitar inspired by Icelandic landscapes. In this lesson Gulli gives an overview and breakdown of Landslag I: dark sand dunes with some moss. The piece features a repetitive triplet figure in the right hand while the left had moves through different chords, creating a single long phrase. The piece is great for working on both left and right hand positions that will enable you to get the most resonance out of your instrument. Landslög was commissioned by tonebase in 2020.
